I am selling my fairlady roadster because i have purchased a classic ford falcon. My wife said i do not need to have two fun cars. I hate to part with my fairlady; i have owned it for over 5 years and put a lot of love into it. However, it is time to let it go to a good home. This car was a barn find in georgia in 2012. I am the third owner. The first owner had it for two years and sold it to a colonel in the army. It was in his family until i purchased it. It had sat in a barn since 1994. The car was not running, no brakes, and no clutch when i got it. One nice thing, nobody had done anything to it as far as all the wiring was the correct colors. A couple of changes i made that are not stock to the 1600. I installed a new am/fm radio. I fabricated a new plate because the new stereo was wider than the original radio location. I still have the original plate and working am radio. I replaced the dash mirror and install a new rearview mirror on the windshield center support. I still have the dash mounted mirror. There is currently 55171 miles on the car, 53936 on the original odometer and 1235 on the new odometer. All exterior molding is there. The two front fender chrome “datsun 1600” and the rear “fairlady” emblems are new. Front and rear bumpers are in good shape but need to be straightened and re-chromed. Other chrome pieces such as around headlights and taillights have spots of surface rust. The body was painted green when i got the car. The original color is sora blue datsun paint code 563. Both front fenders have rust-though areas at the rear corners. There are various chips in the paint throughout. The car definitely needs body work and paintthe chrome wheels are on the car currently but i have the original rims and hubcaps. The heater and windshield wipers do not work. The soft top is original and old. There is large tears on both sides, it needs replaced. I have the removable hard top. Seller's comments and description: i have for sale 1975 porsche 911 s 25th silver anniversary edition. Model nr. 64to my knowledge there were 1063 cars built, all of them were finished in diamond silver color (936 paint code),blue tweed interior, and carry a ferry porsche signature plaque on glove box. Car was shipped from usa to europe for restoration process, which started from sand blasting whole body andrepainting. All new interior includes correct color of tweed material on seats and door panels, dark blue carpetset and headliner. Dashboard was upholstered by previous owner and is in very good condition, no cracks. Thesteering wheel and shift knob were upholstered in leather. Brake calipers were rebuilt with new seals, new brakelanes, new brake pads. Front and rear suspension completely rebuilt. All new rubber seals were installed. New tiresdunlop sp sport 205/60/15 were installed for better handling. All hardware is new or replated. Handles, headlights bezels, door and quarter window frames are original and have signs of age but are in goodcondition. The engine runs very well, compression test show 13. 5-14. 3 psi on all cylinders. We changed all filters,oil, valve clearance were adjusted, new gaskets on valve covers. Here is a really original example of a silver shadow. Finished in old ivory with black and red finelines to thewaist-rails and beauty rings. The interior has strong contrasting ebony connolly hides with matching wilton carpetsthroughout. The same ebony theme carries through to the boot. This is an unmolested original presenting example that has been maintained by a rolls-royce enthusiast andcollector with the car taken to many shows and displays. It is primarily all original with no modifications –right down to the original push button radio and separate pioneer 8-track cassette player. It was owned by anillinois enthusiast and yet has never been used outside of sunny, summer weather driving. As a result, it has beenfreed from the perils of harsh weather and is very clean underneath. It has always been well maintained andserviced by authorized rolls-royce agents and comes with its original manual. The body on this silver shadow is very straight and the paint is shiny and lustrous. The car still sports 90% ofits original paint. Itdoes display some of the typical paint cracking in the lead-wiping areas of the car (a & c pillars and top of thefenders) which is common to not a few, but all original silver shadows. (rolls-royce used a process of'lead-wiping" to join body panels, so with the different metallurgic properties of lead, steel, and aluminium, theover-lying paint would fracture in these places). It needs nothing other than a wax from time to time. The interior of this silver shadow looks close to perfect. The black connolly hide leather is 100% original fromthe factory. It has never been re-dyed and is in absolutely outstanding condition with no tears nor fading and verysupple and soft – true to its connolly characteristics. The leather really has been lovingly preserved. They are also completely original and have not been redone. Certainly stunning for a 35 year old rolls-royce and by no means in needof redoing. The head lining is all original and in great condition without any stains or soiling. Likewise, is the everflexfinish to the dash and top-roll. The matching black wilton wool carpets are in excellent condition and in a nice"unused" condition. The boot (trunk) carpet with the same theme is also in great condition. The silver shadow presented here has been work-shop inspected where all work needed carried out. Important costlyitems such as the hydraulics and brakes were fully inspected and serviced as required. This includes checking ofall brake hoses and system pressure tested and bled. It is ready to drive and enjoy. It is very quiet and smooth on the roadwithout any of the typical “thumps” and “rattles” typical of poor (or even averagely) maintained examplesof this model. The white-wall michelin 225/75 15 tyres are a very period touch. Although old, they have plenty of tread and ridesmoothly. The hubcaps are excellent with no noticeable imperfections. All remaining bright-work is in goodcondition. Under the bonnet, the presentation is amazing.
